Spoon-fed

Yesterday morning while I was getting ready for work I was listening to a Sermon by Joyce Meyer about God’s timing.  I started thinking about how it’s so easy to get overwhelmed looking at the big picture, not knowing what is going to happen next in life.  But when I take it a day at a time and trust God’s timing, I start to receive a sense of peace.  While listening and meditating, the word “spoon-fed” came to my mind.  This is such a strange thing to think about as it relates to God’s timing so I had to Google it to see the actual definition:

To provide (someone) with so much help or information that they do not need to think for themselves

WOW! Isn’t that crazy? I feel like the Holy Spirit was telling me that God spoon-feeds us! He provides us so much help that we don’t need to figure things out on our own.  All the “help and information” we need is in his Word!  The first scripture that came to mind was Philippians 2:5 which says “Let this mind be in you which is also in Christ Jesus”.  We have to start thinking different and be fed by the Word of God rather than be consumed by what’s going on in our life.

My prayer is that whatever you are going through this morning, this week, or in life, that you allow God to spoon-feed you everything you need.  He has all the help and information we need, you don’t have to even think or worry about it.  Just TRUST him.

Here are a few more verses to get you started on your day

Psalm 46:1
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
Matthew 7:7
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

Thank you for joining me on my journey to Finding Grace.

Enjoy the Journey
