There are times in my life when ideas and creativity flow freely. Then there are other times when my vision feels suffocated by my own busyness and the distractions of life oppress the air that keeps me going.
A good distraction allows me to reset, refocus, and catch my breath before I begin again on the race to where I’m headed. Other times, distractions come along that cause me to stumble.
One stumble, and I quickly get back up; another stumble by the same distraction, and I’m down a little longer, but I still get up and keep running. Next thing you know, the distraction has caused me to stumble so much that it feels better to stay down than to get up each time just to keep falling.
Staying down will never get you to where you are going.
When you’ve been running so hard for so long, it starts to feel like you are running out of breath and a break from the monotony of life feels like a breath of fresh air; but if you stop before you get to the finish line, you are actually suffocating the vision.
Enjoy brief moments of rest, but stay focused on the vision. If you fall, get up, take a deep breath and keep going. Don’t allow distractions to suffocate the vision.
Thank you for joining me on my journey to Finding Grace...
